About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to provide surgical care as part of a team of medical practitioners. The role assists surgeons during procedures by preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies, and by anticipating the surgeon’s needs. The department is a 16-bed operating room across two floors, serving adult and pediatric patients in a broad range of surgical specialties, including general, trauma, bariatrics, urology, gynecology, robotics, cardiovascular, plastics, ear-nose-throat, oral, pediatric, neuro, peripheral vascular, and adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with no call. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The salary range is $24.00–$38.50 per hour. Non-certified technologists start at $24 per hour; certified technologists start at $25.50 per hour, with pay increasing based on applicable work experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants who commit to two years of work.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry when employment begins.

Nice To Haves

• National certification through the NBSTSA is preferred but not required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply, with or without certification.
