About The Position

Aspen Valley Health is hiring a PRN Surgical Technologist in its Surgery department. The Surgical Technologist maintains the sterile field and instrumentation for surgical procedures and prepares the operating room and supplies for each case in a neat and efficient manner. The role communicates with other members of the Perioperative team to provide a high standard of intraoperative care according to AORN standards. The Surgical Technologist collaborates with coworkers, stocks and orders department supplies, and provides additional supportive patient care as directed by others.

The position has a rotating work shift. PRN employees may purchase discounted bus passes for transportation to and from work, access a 457B plan, and participate in a number of programs hosted by Aspen Valley Health. The listed compensation range is $37.32–$59.70, with night and weekend shift differentials of up to $10 per hour. Final compensation depends on qualifications, including relevant experience, education, and professional certifications.

Requirements

• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado, or ability to obtain it before the start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS); may be obtained upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of recent operating room experience.
• Surgical Technologist certification (NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
