About The Position
South Kansas City SurgiCenter is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join its collaborative team. The center emphasizes positive outcomes, professional growth, and the values of quality, compassion, and community. It is affiliated with St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Group, and Kansas City Physician Care. The Surgery Tech prepares sterile supplies and instruments for assigned procedures, maintains the sterile field during cases, and provides surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments. This is a per diem position on the day shift.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited ORT/Surgical Tech program.
- At least one year of experience.
- Proficiency in ENT and Plastics specialties.
- Experience scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas, such as General, Ortho, Urology, Ophthalmic, Pain, and Colo-Rectal.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
- Maintain the sterile field during cases.
- Provide surgeons with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
