About The Position
The Surgical Technologist will perform scrub person duties during the intraoperative phase of surgical procedures. This role assists in the preparation and dispensing of instruments, equipment, and supplies required for surgical procedures. The technologist will also conduct all instrument, needle, sharps, and sponge counts, handle specimens, and assist in the application of dressings or casts and moving patients. Additionally, they will assist in the decontamination/reprocessing area when assigned and maintain inventory in the Operating Room and on carts.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist school or minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Current CPR certification required
Nice To Haves
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) highly preferred
