About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to assist surgical teams in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is critical for ensuring a smooth and efficient surgical process. The position is located in a facility in the vicinity of a metropolitan area, in the city of [City, State]. The schedule may vary, with typical hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and includes on-call requirements. Candidates must be willing to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a surgical specialty.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Nice To Haves
- Surgical Technologist Certification from NBSTA or NCCT is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist with the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support surgeons and other healthcare professionals during operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sterilization protocols.
- Facilitate communication between surgical team members.
