About The Position

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Surgical Technologist for its Inpatient Surgery Department. The department has 17 operating room suites and performs a range of cases, including orthopedic, neurological, spine, bariatric, gynecological, robotic, vascular, endovascular, urological, plastic, and general surgery. It handles inpatient and outpatient procedures, primarily for adult patients, and averages 850 procedures monthly. The department uses a specialty team-based practice to provide consistent, knowledgeable, and experienced care. The Surgical Technologist sets up sterile supplies and assists surgeons. This is a part-time evening position at 0.9 FTE, or 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts. The posted hourly pay range is $35.98–$58.29, and the position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, or satisfactory completion of a formal military or hospital-based training program.
• Surgical Technologist licensure in the State of Washington.
• Healthcare provider CPR certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• For the Certified Surgical Technologist qualification: one year of operating room experience.

Nice To Haves

• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification is preferred for the Surgical Technologist qualification.
• One to two years of operating room experience is preferred for the Surgical Technologist qualification.
