Surgical Technologist
About The Position
A healthcare facility located about an hour from Butte, Montana, is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for a direct-hire position. The role provides patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and facility goals, as directed by the physician and Peri-Operative Surgical nursing team. The Surgical Technologist prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgery, protects the sterile area, and understands the procedure being performed to anticipate the surgeon’s needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, five 8-hour shifts, with on-call duty once every three weeks. Pay is $22.37–$29.82 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification through NBSTSA or NCCT is required.
- BLS certification is required upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to meet identified patient outcomes and facility goals, as directed by the physician and Peri-Operative Surgical nursing team.
- Prepare equipment, instruments, and supplies during surgery.
- Protect the sterile area.
- Understand the surgical procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the performing surgeon.
