About The Position

Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center performing outpatient procedures in orthopedics, spine, pain, and podiatry. The center is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI), which provides surgical services to local communities and emphasizes treating each patient and family as its own.

The Surgical Technologist, also referred to as a Scrub Tech, scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a competent member of the surgical team. The role maintains the sterile field and prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures. It also supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals and participates in quality improvement activities. This is a per diem (PRN) position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
