Surgical Technologist Outpatient Surgery Center
About The Position
The Surgical Technologist works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the operating room environment. The role requires strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding operating room procedures, along with motivation, self-direction, a positive attitude, and good communication skills. The position is full-time, 36 hours weekly, on day shift, with no weekends or holidays. The schedule and duties may be flexible and include ancillary work such as cleaning rooms between cases, stocking rooms, assisting in the central sterile area, and helping expedite room turnover. Good organizational skills and an understanding of teamwork in a fast-paced environment are important.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited vocational or military surgical technologist training course.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding operating room procedures.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Motivated and self-directed, with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
