About The Position

The Surgical Technologist works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in the operating room. The role requires strong clinical knowledge and skills related to operating room procedures, motivation, self-direction, a positive attitude, and good communication. The position involves flexible schedules and duties, including cleaning rooms between cases, stocking rooms, assisting in the central sterile area, and helping expedite room turnover. Strong organizational skills and an understanding of teamwork in a fast-paced environment are important.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited vocational or military surgical technologist training course.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding operating room procedures.
• Motivation, self-direction, a positive attitude, and good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and an understanding of teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technologist certification is preferred.
