The Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation and care of surgical patients under the general direction of a professional nurse or a physician. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile/aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a surgeon’s performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. This role is for a new ambulatory surgery center in Oshkosh, a partnership between ThedaCare and regional surgeons. The center will feature four operating rooms and two procedural rooms, with a diverse mix of case types including general surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, spine, and pain cases, with plans to add more service lines over time. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in a multispecialty surgical setting. Working knowledge of community surgeons is beneficial, but not a limitation. This is an opportunity to work in a new facility with a culturally strong and high-performing team.
