About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Technologist for their CVOR department at Columbia St Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee. This full-time, day shift position involves preparing the surgical suite, assisting the surgeon during procedures, preparing and positioning patients, and maintaining instruments. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• CST licensure/ certification
• Previous CVOR experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and track instruments counts throughout procedures.
