About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Surgical Technologist for their CVOR department at Columbia St Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee. This full-time, day shift position involves preparing the surgical suite, assisting surgeons with instruments and supplies, and managing patient positioning and draping. The role also requires maintaining instruments and tracking counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• CST licensure/ certification
• Previous CVOR experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
• Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
