About The Position

AHWFB Outpatient Surgery is a state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center featuring eight operating rooms and two procedure rooms, along with 32 beds dedicated to preparation, recovery, and post-anesthesia care. Our services include general surgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, and plastic surgery. In the OR and PreOp/PACU, our RNs lead with compassion, providing top-tier care in an ambulatory setting where patients and families are always at the heart of everything we do. The Surgical Technologist plays a pivotal role in patient care, working alongside the Registered Nurse. They support direct patient care, prepare the Operating Room pre- and post-surgery, arrange sterile instruments, and maintain aseptic techniques. Key responsibilities include ensuring patient care, safety, and advocacy by anticipating and addressing case-specific needs with critical thinking under RN supervision. They are responsible for managing instruments, equipment, and supplies, fostering a collaborative atmosphere through effective communication, and demonstrating cost-containment practices.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• At least 1 year of Surgical Technology experience
• 2 year degree in Surgical Technology
