About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Surgical Technologist (CST) for an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon. This assignment is a 13-week contract with two openings. Weekly pay is $2,078, including a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,729 per week where eligible. The scheduled day shift is three 12-hour shifts, 7:00–19:00. The position does not float between units and has an expected 1:1 ratio. Weekend work is required, along with weekday call of 16 hours every four weeks and weekend call of 24 hours every four weeks. Epic is used for charting. The posting lists start dates of November 2, 2026, and November 9, 2026, and notes overtime at 40 total hours in one week: 1.3%.
Requirements
- Active license or certification for the operating room and the CST specialty; compact credentials are accepted where applicable.
- 1–2 years of recent CST experience.
- CST certification from NBSTSA.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital operating room.
- Work the required weekend shifts.
- Participate in weekday call for 16 hours every four weeks and weekend call for 24 hours every four weeks.
- Use Epic for charting.
