About The Position

Chestnut Surgery Center, an Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in urology and ophthalmology procedures, is seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist with sterile processing experience. The role supports urology and ophthalmology surgeries, ensures instruments are properly processed and maintained, and upholds high standards of sterile technique and surgical safety. The position offers work across two specialized surgical service lines in a supportive, collaborative environment with a Monday–Friday schedule and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and instrument care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Sterile processing experience.
• Previous ASC or hospital operating room experience in urology and/or ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
• Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
• Monitor and maintain surgical instrument inventory and ensure equipment readiness.
• Document sterilization processes and biological monitoring according to policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
