Shriners Children’s is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to join their Surgical Services Division. In this role, you will utilize your skills to support the organization's mission of providing stellar healthcare services for pediatric orthopedic patients. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Certified Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of employment)

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital operating room
• Pediatric and/or orthopaedic experience

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists surgical procedures during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process.
• Provides for and anticipates the surgeons’ needs during a procedure while maintaining the sterile field.
• Adheres to principles of aseptic technique.
• Ensures safety with all counted items.
• Assists preparation for procedures by assisting with completion, wrapping, and processing of instruments in Sterile Processing.
• May be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
