About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a PRN Surgical Technologist to join their Surgical Services Division. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
Certified Surgical Technologist
BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of employment)

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one-year experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital operating room
Pediatric and/or orthopaedic experience

Responsibilities

Prepares and assists surgical procedures during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative process.
Provides for and anticipates the surgeons’ needs during a procedure while maintaining the sterile field, adhering to principles of aseptic technique, and ensuring safety with all counted items.
Assists preparation for procedures by assisting with completion, wrapping, and processing of instruments in Sterile Processing.
