About The Position
The Surgical Technologist Student gains hands-on operating room experience while enrolled in a Surgical Technology program. Working alongside experienced surgeons, nurses, and other surgical professionals, the student applies classroom knowledge, learns surgical workflows and protocols, and gains exposure to a variety of procedures while supporting patient care. Participation in procedures is under the supervision of qualified staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous healthcare experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures.
- Help gather, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Observe and participate in surgical procedures under the supervision of qualified staff.
- Support sterile technique and infection prevention practices.
- Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup.
- Learn proper instrument handling, surgical workflows, and operating room protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe surgical environment.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and fellow team members to support patient care.
