About The Position
Mercy, in partnership with DruryGo, is offering a 21-week paid Surgical Technologist Internship/Externship designed to prepare participants for NCCT Surgical Technologist certification and a career in the operating room. This program covers classroom, lab, shadowing, scrubbing, and case exposure, including medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, sterile technique, case studies, and surgical instruments. The clinical phase involves hands-on experience, scrubbing multiple specialties, and completing surgical cases to meet NCCT requirements.
Requirements
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Completion of 8 hours of OR shadowing prior to second interview
- Internal candidates must also provide leader feedback
