Requirements
- Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required)
- BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- One (1) year of experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Passes instruments to physician during surgery.
- Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Must maintain requirements dictated in clinical ladder.
- Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
- Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
- Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
