About The Position

The Surgical Technologist II will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the surgical suite, intraoperative handling of instruments, maintenance of the sterile field, and evaluation of changing conditions during the surgical procedures, and making appropriate responses as needed. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols. May serve as a preceptor as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma
Associate degree or equivalent
Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program (military, etc.)
1 year of equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience (Clinical rotations do count as experience)
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Maintaining and preparing the surgical suite
Intraoperative handling of instruments
Maintenance of the sterile field
Evaluation of changing conditions during surgical procedures and making appropriate responses
Maintaining knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols
Serving as a preceptor as needed
