About The Position
A member of the healthcare team who functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and performs a variety of technical and supportive functions to assist with the care of the patient throughout their perioperative phase of hospitalization, utilizing hospital and departmental standards, policies, protocols, and procedures. This position is in the Labor and Delivery department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri, and is scheduled for 36 hours per week, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, three times weekly.
Requirements
- Graduate from a school of Surgical Technology or have five years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain personal effectiveness while dealing with various personalities, skill levels, and rapidly changing situations.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital and/or work experience as a Surgical Technologist.
