Surgical Technologist, Paoli Surgery Center
About The Position
Surgical Technicians play a key role in facilitating safe and successful surgeries for patients at the Paoli Surgery Center. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, they check and set up instruments, perform counts, and scrub in to assist the Surgeon at the table during invasive and surgical procedures. Other responsibilities may include handling specimens, assisting with patient positioning and transfers, and participating in OR turnover. The role offers opportunities for career development through tuition reimbursement and is eligible for up to $6,000 per year based on employment status. Requirements
- Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology
- Certified Surgical Technologist (by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification required within 60 days of date of hire, if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020
Nice To Haves
- One year of Operating Room experience preferred
- Surgical Technician Certification (CST) Preferred if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding years
