Surgical Technician - Per Diem
About The Position
As a Certified Surgical Technician at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll be an essential part of our Operating Room team, ensuring the smooth flow of each surgical procedure. You will prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and set up properly. You will work closely with the surgeon and registered nurse to anticipate needs and support surgical procedures, while maintaining strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control standards. Understanding the surgical procedures being performed and assisting with tasks as needed, along with helping maintain and monitor the sterile field, ensuring the safety of every patient, and assisting in turnover and restocking of the OR following procedures are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, preferably in orthopedic surgery
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of surgical procedures, tools, and sterile field management
- Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team
