Clinical Technician, Surgical Oncology Per-Diem
About The Position
The Clinical Technician II works under the direct supervision of an RN and is an active member of the health care team. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the technician performs routine patient-care duties, including direct care and activities of daily living, observing changes in patients’ status, maintaining a clean and safe environment, transporting patients, and other related duties. The role requires empathy and good communication and nursing skills. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, equivalent experience, qualifying clinical experience or education, BLS certification, and at least six education hours related to the current role. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Equivalent experience.
- Six months of experience as a Clinical Technician I, or equivalent clinical experience as defined in the CORE skills for Clinical Technician II; completion of or enrollment in a Clinical Technician II program or equivalent; or student nurses who have successfully completed medical/surgical clinical experiences and didactic coursework.
- BLS certification.
- At least six education hours related to the current role.
- Empathy and good communication and nursing skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assist patients with activities of daily living under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
