The Surgical Technologist 2 is a certified and educated individual responsible for performing surgical technology services that contribute to safe, quality, and fiscally responsible patient care. This role requires minimal guidance and direction, with the ability to seek assistance when necessary. The East Campus OR handles a variety of surgical procedures including Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic, and Interventional Pulmonology. Staff work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts and cover call on off-shifts, weekends, and holidays.
