About The Position

Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during surgical procedures. Understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the surgeon’s needs. Uses the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and maintains vigilance over the sterile field. Works in partnership with licensed staff and performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Graduate of a Surgical Technology program, or prior experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of a degree.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required upon hire.

Nice To Haves

Graduate of a Surgical Technology program is preferred.
