Surgical Tech Labor and Delivery
About The Position
The Surgical Tech in Labor and Delivery will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. This role involves preparing the surgical suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies, handing required and requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery, and assisting surgeons with hemostasis during surgery. The Surgical Tech will also assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients, and maintaining instruments in an organized manner while monitoring and tracking instrument counts throughout procedures.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
