About The Position

The Surgical Technician supports the surgical team in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate patient care and helps ensure the operating room runs smoothly and efficiently. The role contributes directly to positive surgical outcomes. Surgical technicians assist with Endo, Urology, Cath, and C-sections. The PRMC location has eight operating rooms.

The stated schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with 24-hour call coverage on weekends and holidays, typically four to five calls per month. The role is based at 2100 N Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Clovis, New Mexico. Candidates must live within 30 minutes of the hospital.

The position is full-time, with an FTE of 1.00, and is non-exempt. Enhanced sign-on bonuses and relocation benefits are available to eligible candidates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Must live 30 minutes or less from the hospital.
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and equipment.
• Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience handling sterile supplies and/or instruments.

Responsibilities

• Scrub various types of basic surgical procedures, including general, OB/GYN, urology, and gastroenterology.
• Support the surgical team in providing safe, effective, and compassionate patient care.
