About The Position

As a Surgical Tech at CHI Health St. Francis, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team to perform a variety of surgical procedures. You will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and maintain a sterile environment. The role requires adaptability, effective collaboration with the OR team, and support for complex surgical procedures. You will also provide on-call support with a 30-minute response time.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Surgical Technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sterilize surgical supplies, instruments, solutions, and medications.
• Organize sterile tables and anticipate the surgical team's needs.
• Perform accurate counts and manage specimens.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure a safe environment.
• Report issues and assist with operating room turnaround.
• Provide on-call support with a 30-minute response time.
