About The Position

The Surgical Tech supports acute care surgical procedures by helping prepare the surgical team and operating room, maintaining and handling instruments, and assisting with equipment and post-procedure cleanup. Responsibilities include counting surgical items, ensuring equipment operates properly, helping team members scrub in and put on protective gear, sterilizing instruments, and restocking the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Count sponges, rags, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment, such as lights and suction machines.
• Assist the surgical team with scrubbing in and putting on gloves and masks.
• Wash and sterilize all medical instruments and equipment following surgeries.
• Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after surgical procedures.
