About The Position

This role is for the Pediatric OR. The Surgical Tech helps prepare for and support surgical procedures by assessing the patient’s condition, preparing and sterilizing the operating room, and ensuring necessary supplies, implants, instruments, and equipment are available. During surgery, the role passes instruments to surgeons and monitors the patient’s vital signs. The Surgical Tech also evaluates postoperative patients, reviews charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after procedures, and adheres to relevant health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition before surgery.
• Prepare the operating room with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Keep the operating room sterilized.
• Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operations.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs.
• Evaluate postoperative patients.
