About The Position
The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting in surgical operations, preparing operating rooms, and organizing the surgical tools and equipment. The candidate will work effectively within the team, maintaining a sterile environment, and must respond to emergency situations as needed. The role requires participation in call rotations and a willingness to work evening and night shifts.
Requirements
- BLS Certification and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Certificate required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing with certification through IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
- Demonstrated experience in ortho, trauma, and general surgery.
- Able to work 8-hour evening and night shifts and participate in weekend call rotations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in operations by setting up and managing instruments and equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field and follow strict infection control protocols.
- Participate in call rotations as required and respond promptly within the specified call response time.
- Coordinate with the surgical team to provide efficient patient care.
