About The Position
The Surgical Tech supports surgical procedures by maintaining accurate counts of sponges, rags, needles, and instruments; ensuring equipment operates properly; assisting the surgical team with scrubbing in and donning gloves and masks; and cleaning, sterilizing, organizing, and restocking instruments and the operating room after procedures.
Responsibilities
- Count sponges, rags, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment, such as lights and suction machines.
- Assist the surgical team with scrubbing in and putting on gloves and masks.
- Wash and sterilize medical instruments and equipment following surgeries.
- Clean, organize, and restock the operating room after surgical procedures.
