About The Position

Facilitates patient care by assisting physicians during surgery in the Operating Room across multiple specialties. Performs technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines, assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary, and serves as a resource. Works at a broader level and is involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
• Three years of experience and Surgical Tech certification; alternatively, 10 years of Surgical Tech experience may substitute for the degree and certification requirement.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
• Current Georgia LPN license upon hire, if applicable, or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification upon hire.
