About The Position

Facilitates patient care by assisting physicians during surgery in the Operating Room for multiple specialties. Performs technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines, assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary, and serves as a resource. Works at a broader level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
Three years of experience and Surgical Tech Certification, or, in lieu of certification, a total of 10 years of Surgical Tech experience (including seven years substituted for certification).
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
Current Georgia LPN license upon hire, if applicable, or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification upon hire.
