About The Position
Ascension Saint Alexius is seeking a part-time Surgical Tech for their Womens Health department. This role is responsible for preparing the operating suite, assisting with patient preparation and positioning, providing instruments and supplies to the surgeon, and maintaining instrument organization and count tracking.
Requirements
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating suite by organizing sterile supplies, drapes, and necessary instruments.
- Assist with the safe preparation, transportation, positioning, and draping of patients.
- Provide requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon throughout the procedure.
- Maintain instrument organization and perform continuous count tracking to ensure surgical efficiency and safety.
