About The Position
The Surgical Tech works in the Operating Room at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. The role performs necessary duties in the scrub role and takes on greater responsibility in patient care, demonstrating critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. The Surgical Tech works in partnership with licensed staff and performs patient-care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse. This is a full-time, day-shift position from 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.; call is required. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced candidates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or three years of surgical tech experience.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire.
Nice To Haves
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification is preferred.
