About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist for Sand Lake Surgicenter. The role supports operative and other invasive procedures by serving as a scrub person, preparing and transporting surgical instruments, and helping clean and prepare procedure rooms between patients. The position is part of SCA Health, an organization of more than 15,000 professionals that operates a network of ambulatory surgical centers and other specialty-care facilities. The posted pay range is USD $24.00 to USD $30.00 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification.
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist course.
- Two years of previous operating room experience.
- Successfully completed a training program for surgical technology in the U.S. armed forces, the National Guard, or the U.S. Public Health Service.
Nice To Haves
- Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) experience preferred.
- ORT certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
