About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Tech III collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensure patient goals are met, and support the hospital’s mission. The role requires at least one year of surgical experience and completion of an approved surgical technologist education or training program. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required, with an exception for eligible Level 3 staff hired or adjusted before August 1, 2020. AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification, or an approved equivalent, is required within 90 days of hire. The posted schedule is 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., three 12-hour shifts per week. Call is required, and some weekend and holiday work is expected. The position is listed at 0.9 FTE.

Requirements

At least one year of surgical experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Post-high-school education, certification, or diploma.
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, Military Operating Room Specialist course, or Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II program.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist, except for eligible Level 3 staff hired or adjusted before August 1, 2020.
AHA Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.
