About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Tech III collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensure that patient goals are met, and carry out the hospital’s mission. The role is scheduled primarily for four 10-hour shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with occasional early PM shifts to cover colleagues’ PTO; advance notice is provided. The position participates in weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations. Orientation includes a 30-day rotation on the PM shift. The position is listed at 1.0 FTE and offers a bonus of up to $10,000.

Requirements

At least 1 year of surgical experience, in any combination of a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician role.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Post-high-school education, certification, or diploma.
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, a Military Operating Room Specialist course, or the Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II program.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist, except for Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff or above hired or adjusted to the role before 08/01/2020 who meet the job-description criteria.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.
