About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Tech III collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, help ensure that patient goals are met, and carry out the hospital's mission. The position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts from 0900 to 2130, with a call rotation. Hiring level is based on experience, with various levels available. The listed FTE is 0.9.

Requirements

• At least one year of Surgical Technologist experience is required. The year may include a combination of Surgical Technician and Surgical Extern experience; one or more years of surgical extern work counts for up to six months toward the one-year requirement.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-high-school education, certification, or diploma.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, Military Operating Room Specialist course, or Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff or above hired, or with an adjusted hire date, before 08-01-2020 are exempt from certification if they meet the criteria in the job description.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, is required within 90 days of hire.
