About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Midlands Orthopaedics Surgery Center. The position supports operative and other invasive procedures by functioning as a scrub person, preparing and transporting surgical instruments, and assisting with procedure-room cleaning and setup. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program. Prior surgical technologist experience and current certification are preferred. BLS certification must be current or completed within 90 days of employment. The listed pay range is USD $28.00 to $34.00 per hour.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Successfully complete a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
