Surgical Support and Anesthesia Tech
About The Position
The Surgical Support and Anesthesia Tech assists in the preparation, delivery, and clean-up of patient care during the intra-operative phase, contributing to the smooth operation of the unit. This role involves obtaining and organizing necessary equipment, sterile supplies, and instruments for each surgical case, assembling surgical supplies for rooms and case tables, and opening sterile supplies for surgical procedures. The technician is also responsible for cleaning equipment, including decontamination and sterilization of instruments, work areas, and reusable supplies, returning unneeded equipment to the appropriate department, and following up on equipment needing repairs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- AHA or ARC American Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 Days required
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in related field Preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience Patient Care Preferred
- 1 year of relevant experience in Operating Room Preferred
- Anesthesia Technician Certification (Cer. A.T.) preferred
Responsibilities
