One California As our Surgical Specialty RN, you will provide expert, patient-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative continuum, ensuring optimal outcomes and safety for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your specialized clinical skills and critical thinking are essential in preparing patients, assisting surgeons, and facilitating a sterile, efficient surgical environment. Every day you will meticulously assess patients pre-operatively, develop care plans, circulate or scrub during procedures, and provide comprehensive post-operative care, expertly managing medications and monitoring vitals. You'll educate patients, ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, and collaborate inter-disciplinarily while meticulously documenting and advocating for patient well-being. To be successful in this role, you must possess exceptional clinical assessment skills, strong critical thinking for high-pressure situations, and excellent communication for team collaboration and patient education. A profound commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and advancing perioperative nursing, along with self-motivation and adaptability, are essential in this dynamic role.
