Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is seeking a Specialty Surgical Supervisor to lead and support our surgical team in a fast-paced, collaborative specialty environment. Requirements

3-5 years of veterinary experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong surgical workflow knowledge and technical skillset
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Responsibilities

Provide daily supervision, coaching, and support to surgical staff
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
Conduct 30/60/90-day reviews and support ongoing performance development
Partner with leadership on performance management, feedback, and team growth
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture
Coordinate daily case flow and ensure surgical table times are met
Assign staff to cases and manage shift coverage, including call-outs
Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and overtime
Ensure all treatments, charges, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
Support discharges and client communication as needed
Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient service flow
Collaborate with surgeons, inventory, and sterile processing teams
Maintain surgical equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements
Identify and implement workflow improvements
