About The Position

This position is for a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) working the 3p-1130p shift. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit accepts first-time travelers and requires 2 years of experience. Weekends on call may be required. While they will try to accommodate a block schedule, it is not guaranteed. Locals are not accepted within a 50-mile radius. Pending licenses are not accepted. RTO restrictions limit requests to no more than one week per contract. Scrubs are provided, and orientation is 8 hours.

Requirements

• 2 Years of Experience Required
• CBSPD, CSPDT (Either CRCST or CSPDT) Certification
• Acute Hospital OR
• Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER)
• Chemical agents for decontamination
• Disinfectants
• High-Level Disinfection (HLD)
• Manual cleaning
• Proper labeling
• Ultrasonic cleaner
• Use of Washers/sterilizers
• Aseptic Technique
• Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)
• Biological indicators
• Chemical indicators
• Steam Sterilization Testing/monitoring
• Sterrad Testing/monitoring
