About The Position

We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians (SPT) for our Level One trauma facility. This is a busy department that requires candidates experienced in all areas, including decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization processes, sterile storage, and OR liaison. Experience with specific equipment like DaVinci, scopes, sterrad, steam sterilizers, HLD, Censitrac Tracking system, and Medivator is required. Candidates must have experience in a facility similar to OSU, which is a high-volume trauma center. Previous permanent staff and return travelers to the system are not eligible. Travelers reaching their one-year contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments. Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the care site are not eligible, though current contractors within this radius may complete their existing contract and extend up to the one-year maximum.

Requirements

• Experienced with all areas of the department
• Experienced with Decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes)
• Experienced with Assembly of all instruments in all service lines (Trauma, loaners, peel packaging included)
• Experienced with Sterilization process (sterrad and steam)
• HLD/ Scope experience
• Sterile Storage experience
• OR Liaison experience
• Censitrac Tracking system experience
• Medivator experience required
• Must have either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM) certification
• Must have worked in a facility similar to OSU (Level One trauma facility)

• Candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the care site address are not eligible
