About The Position

This is a travel position for an OR Tech / Surgical Tech with a minimum of 1 year of recent experience. Local travelers will be considered at a lower rate. The assignment is for 13 weeks with an ASAP start. The facility has specific requirements for time off requests, with a policy of 3 shifts per 13 weeks. It is the traveler's responsibility to cover any additional shifts. Any time off requested after the offer is made will not be approved.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an OR Tech / Surgical Tech.
• Proficiency in Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection - Open/LAP, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Thyroidectomy partial/total, Abdominal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior Repair (Colporrhaphy), Bilateral tubal ligation, Dilation & Curettage, Vaginal Hysterectomy, Arthroscopy, Closed/Open reduction of fractures, Total hip replacement, Total knee replacement, Gynecologic robotic surgery, Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy, Transurethral resection of the prostate.
• BLS certification.
• CST or NBSTSA certification.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial submittal.
• No hits on license.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Handle instruments and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
